Chema Madoz

Jose Maria Rodriguez Madoz or Chema Madoz is a Spanish photographer, best known for his black and white surrealist photographs.



I am a sucker for black and white photography, having been brought up with both my parents and my brother heavily into it as a hobby, and Chema's work particularly appeals to me as it mainly focuses on everyday objects and forms, which is what I tend to photograph myself.



I often find surrealist work confusing, and thus, uninteresting as a lot of it just seems too much effort to me! But Chema's work is understandable in its simplicity which I especially like.
